3/17/2007

It's been a busy week at the Power House in Baltimore, Maryland.

It started out Sunday with Morning Worship. We resumed our series on "Adding Value to Others" by talking about the need to continually add value to ourselves in the midst of this process.

Sunday afternoon was one of the first beautiful afternoons of spring so we had only one kid at Kids' Church. That evening before the service the Gillilans brought in a stationary bike to add to our exercise equipment.

Between services we did some odds and ends around the church. Danny worked on repairing the bathroom sink, which came out of the wall at Pizza Church last Friday. I hung a new bulletin board in the lobby.

53 kids participated in this Wednesday's SonRisers activities. Later that day I started coordinating my travels to Robert's graduation from Graceland University with his parents' plans. That evening Woody and Neil installed the cross on the wall in the main room. The Adult Disciples group continued its study on the ministry of the Elder.

Our Easter postcards arrived this week. We'll give them to people to distribute starting this Sunday and will deliver them door-to-door in the neighborhood the week before Easter.

Men's group started a new study on Thursday night. Afterward we carried some pieces of equipment up to the balcony for use by our exercise group.

A winter storm hit Friday afternoon bringing freezing rain, ice, sleet, and snow. When I opened up for Pizza Church I discovered that the leak the builders thought was fully repaired wasn't. I was able to catch the contractor before he left the office for the weekend and set up a plan for them to come and visit on Monday.

The storm didn't stop Gloria, Patricia, and Violet from going to the Dundalk congregation to hear the group "Oasis of Peace" that night. The group is made up of kids from the Ukraine. They're on there way to World Conference and were stopping in some cities in our mission center on their way there.

Looking ahead to next week we'll have our regular schedule of activities. In addition we'll continue preparing for World Conference and Easter.

Along with the individuals and activities mentioned, please keep the following individuals in the forefront of your prayers:
