5/1/2005

It's been a busy week at the Power House in Baltimore, Maryland.

It started out Sunday with our three services. During Morning Worship we examined 1
Peter 2:11-13. The group at Kids' Church reviewed John 21:15-19 then made sheep
refrigerator magnets. 1 Peter 4:1-2 was the scripture verse for Evening Worship.

Throughout the week we had several phone calls and errands to run in getting the details
worked out regarding our building contract. We're anticipating having a signed contract
early next week.

Over 80 kids participated in Wednesday morning's SonRisers activities. They also had a
full house at that afternoon's Narcotics Anonymous meeting. The Adult Disciples group
reviewed 1 Chronicles that evening.

We started piecing together our summer calendar this week. The public schools are
starting a week earlier than usual so it put an extra squeeze on an already overscheduled
season. Almost every day from June through August has something on it in addition to our
regular schedule of activities. We'll be refining this over the next couple of weeks to
make sure our activities are staffed and that we haven't forgotten anything.

Jenn and I traded teaching assignments for Friday's Pizza Church sessions. I taught the
first two groups while Jenn lead the senior highs.

On Saturday Danny and I attended the Mission Center Leadership Team meeting in
Springfield, Virginia. Our drive there and back was also productive in discussing issues
and needs in the congregation.

Looking ahead to next week we have our full schedule of activities. In addition, we'll
have a business meeting Sunday night to update our approval of the building project to
reflect the new floorplans. Thursday night we'll have our monthly priesthood meeting.
We'll also begin making our selections as to camp participants for this summer.

Along with the individuals and activities mentioned as well as continued progress on our
building project, please keep the following families in the forefront of your prayers:

the Mitchell family
the Bozman family
the Curtis family
the Banton family
the Williams family
the Misckimon family
the Alacio family
the Harris family

Thank you for your continued prayer support.
