8/13/2005

It's been a busy week at the Power House in Baltimore, Maryland.

It started out Sunday with our three services. We focused on listening to God's voice during Morning Worship. At Kids' Church we learned the parable of the sewer and the seed. Gloria lead the devotions during Evening Worship.

The Women's CORE group met at Gloria's house instead of the church on Monday night. The video they were watching was on DVD and we don't yet have a DVD player at the church.

Wednesday night's Adult Disciples group reviewed the book of Lamentations and the first half of Ezekiel.

Throughout the week the builders made progress on the building. The masonry is pretty much finished and about half the trusses for the roof are now installed.

I attended the Willow Creek Leadership Summit this Thursday through Saturday. This was the fifth year I've attended and it just gets better each year. Since it was satellite linked to a church just north of Baltimore I was able to be here for each evening's activities.

We had our monthly priesthood meeting on Thursday evening. We discussed and planned many things coming up this fall.

Friday night brought Pizza Church. Tamara taught the first group and I taught the second two groups. The last couple of weeks we've had several kids attend but not eat pizza so we've had lots of leftovers.

Saturday was our monthly Solid Rock Cafe. We had a small group who seemed to really relax and enjoy their game playing together.

Looking ahead to next week we have our full schedule of activities. In addition, the Adult Disciples group will be assembling teacher care packages on Wednesday night.

Along with those individuals and activities mentioned as well as continued progress on our building project, please keep the following persons in the forefront of your prayers:
