9/4/2005

It's been a busy few of weeks at the Power House in Baltimore, Maryland.

Let me bring you up to speed with a few of the highlights.

-The Adult Disciples class assembled our teacher care packages for the local elementary and middle school. Bryce, Onalee, and I delivered them to the schools.

-We've had great progress on the building. The roof, floor, and masonry work are finished. The HVAC unit was installed on the roof. Next week they are looking to build the roofing tie-ins with the old building, running the ductwork, beginning to install the electrical fixtures, install the gutters and downspouts, start building the balcony, and installing windows.

-I took Donald out to Lamoni, Iowa, to start the fall term at Graceland University. While there we got to see Robert as he served in helping get people moved into the dorms.

-Gloria officiated at a wedding for the first time.

-SonRisers resumed with the start of school. 54 kids participated on opening day. We've switched donut providers as a cost saving measure. Kids were still talking on Friday how much more they liked these donuts than the ones we used for the past 5 years.

-On her way home from SonRisers, Shirley fell. She dislocated her elbow and chipped the bone in her arm.

Looking ahead to next week we have our full schedule of activities. In addition, we have our monthly priesthood meeting this Thursday and our monthly Solid Rock Cafe on Saturday. The young adult group is going on retreat next weekend. We'll also be working with the builders as they need more direct input now that we're coming up on some of the detail work.

Along with those individuals and activities mentioned as well as the continued progress on our building project, please keep the following persons in the forefront of your prayers:

Ashley
Jamie
Kirsty

Thank you for your continued prayer support.
