3/12/2005

It's been a busy week at the Power House in Baltimore, Maryland.

It started out Sunday with our three services. Don Chesworth brought the communion
message during Morning Worship. At Kids' Church we learned about becoming fishers of
men. Gloria lead the devotions at Evening Worship.

We had a lot of contact with the builder throughout the course of the week. Lots of
questions, faxes email, bills, and phone calls. I don't know that we made any progress
but it kept us all busy.

85 kids joined us for SonRisers on Wednesday morning. The people who normally set up for
the Narcotics Anonymous group didn't show up so they got off to a late start. That
evening at Adult Disciples we finished our study of the book of Deuteronomy.

On Thursday evening we had our monthly priesthood meeting. The bulk of our time was
spent learning about weddings and putting the finishing touches on our plans for our 10th
anniversary celebration.

We've been working on plans to send some high school students from Pigtown to this
summer's International Youth Festival in Independence, Missouri, and Spectacular (which
is the week immediately following IYF) at Graceland University in Lamoni, Iowa. The
financial costs involved to send kids are quite high. We've been developing plans for
several months and this week were able to coordinate them with World Church and with Mike
Barber. We've been able to get some funding assistance and are now looking at how to
raise enough money to fill the gap.

Friday night brought Pizza Church. Mike taught the first two sessions. The senior high
group watched a portion of Star Wars and related some of the concepts the Bible and to
discipleship. We did a series on this back in the old building and thought it would be a
good change from the straight Bible study this group has been doing.

On Saturday we had our monthly Solid Rock Cafe. We had a good sized crowd with several
new kids.

Looking ahead to next week we have our full schedule of activities. In addition, we have
a baby blessing scheduled for Morning Worship. Tamara will lead devotions during Evening
Worship.

In addition to those individuals and activities mentioned as well as continued progress
on our building project, please keep the following people in the forefront of your
prayers:

Christie
Jamie
Stella
Scott
Jami
Forrest
Troy
Durrell

Thank you for your continued prayer support.
